“Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.” – Henry David Thoreau

Hi and welcome to my blog!

I am an adventurer, explorer, writer, photographer and foodie. At 21, bored of my normal routines and sick of the unwelcoming winter in Toronto, I packed it up and moved to Sydney where I learned to survive on my own. At the time, I didn’t know what I would be getting into but sometimes life carves out a neat little path by itself. The puzzle pieces fit and everything transitions smoothly.

Through my travels, I broke out of my shell and learned to adapt to Aussie culture such as finding the proper response to “How are you going?”, conquering my fear of giant cockroaches and trying Aussie cuisine such as meat pies and kangaroo meat.

I raced a yacht for the first time in the famous Sydney Harbour, attempted and finished my first outdoor climb at the Blue Mountains, met a kangaroo, learned how to scuba dive, went snorkeling at one of the seven wonders of the world aka the Great Barrier Reef, and topped it off driving on the left side of the road with a road trip through the east coast and Great Ocean Road.

From there, I flew to Indonesia on my own, battled with bed bugs, scaled my first mountain, and navigated several Indonesian cities and towns with little knowledge of the local language, Bahai. I rode a motorcycle for the first time, surfed the Pacific Ocean in Bali and learned how to bargain for deals with the locals.

What's next? I'm not sure.
